Emergency Call for United Global Evangelism – Yoido Plaza Seoul South Korea
David Cho, called "mister missions" in South Korea pulled together a meeting for Billy Graham to speak. It was held at the former Seoul-area airport and crowd estimates suggest it was the largest gathering at the time, at over 1 million. (Some think festivals in India now, attract more.)
McGavran notes in the last paragraph that Peter Beyerhaus (researcher from the U.K.) spoke next, and then the pastor of the largest church (probably in the world, at the time) Dr. Paul Yonggi Cho, (who later changed his name from Paul to David)who "moved the audience (2,700,000) to great shouts of Amen."
