I ordered this book when it first came out and really enjoyed it. Translation is such a challenge to the spread of God’s truth. The first challenge is that most of the world doesn’t understand Hebrew, Greek and Aramaic…and modern speakers of those ancient languages are different.

Add to that, the issue of cultural distance to those who grow up in cultures that do not have exposure to the Bible, not to mention the language differences and (as this book points out) difficulty of translating ideas from one language to another.
