Library Collection

The physical library contains over 35,000 volumes, and is accessible to patrons during our regular office hours. We don’t lend the books out of the building, but we are happy to scan pages if copyrights allow it. Our library is arranged into four main collections:
  • The Winter Plus Collection: This collection of 8800 volumes includes the personal library of Ralph Winter (including markings and notes in the margins). It also contains books about Dr Winter, and some that are related to ideas he championed.
  • The McGavran Plus Collection: This collection of 3403 volumes includes the personal library of Donald McGavran. It also holds books written by and about Dr McGavran, as well as books concerning the Church Growth Movement and other important ideas he pioneered.
  • The South Asia Collection: We have over 10,000 books on South Asian faiths, specializing in Indian Christianity and its encounter with Hinduism.
  • Our Missiology Library: This collection contains a nearly complete collection of the 800 volumes published by William Carey Library since 1969, and over 10,000 other mission-related volumes.
